‘Freedom’ is a pleasure both my life and brain savour. The freedom of being complex, colourful, different or even indistinguishably identical. Freedom to speak, to break, to erupt. “I don’t care!” she burst out exclaim, blurt, cry, shout, yell!

Freedom to create my own writing style, to follow and break the rules. To refuse to communicate, to have a change of heart. To be here and to be everywhere. Freedom to compare, to justify, to make happy.

What is happiness? I don’t know, I don’t care. Or maybe I do but I can simply say whatever my heart desires. I can make up stories, imagine, jump, or not jump. Maybe I prefer to leap, spring, bound, hop, skip, dance, prance, frolic or even cavort! I don’t even know what cavort means but I have the freedom to learn. Freedom to take notice, to remember or to leave behind.

Freedom to dream while I sleep and do all things impossible. To push the boundaries, to raise the bar, to get lost. To change my mood through the use of various mediums. To be in another country and see another culture, or simply switch the channel and enable myself to enter another world. I can even create a world and have others explore mine while I explore theirs.

I can talk gibberish and write gibberish. Make up a word, change a meaning, sing and dance. I’m free to pick things up and put them down, get them off the ground and swing them round. I can walk, talk, use a chalk to draw a hawk on my favourite floating dock.

I have the freedom to do anything because my brain creates and my life allows it.
